v0.8.9.99: random events and Sorting Center changes
Update v0.8.9.99
While the Beta production plant is roaring at full power and bringing the release closer, we have not forgotten about Alpha, as promised. In this patch, the prayers of Xeons suffering in the Sorting Center for the sins of humanoids have been heard.
Sorting Center
- Added a 50% discount on purchasing Memory Fragments
- Revised the base cost of Memory Fragments
- Restarting in the Sorting Center now requires Mitraners again instead of D2R2
- Reduced the number of Mitraners required for restart
- Increased the chances of obtaining useful cases
But this is only the tip of the iceberg. We have started the full integration of the random event system, which is being developed for both Beta and Alpha. The system is meant to bring already completed locations back to life, expand their lore, and add an element of unpredictability to the gameplay.
First type of random events
- Events appear in Iceland and its sub-locations: the Chemical Factory, Weapons Factory, and Electronics Factory
- They work like dungeons: players have one day to complete them. Once the time expires, the dungeon will be replaced with a new one, even if the previous one was not completed
- Event difficulty and completion rewards depend on the level of the radar, which must be built and upgraded
- Completing dungeons in Iceland can reward you with DDT and Memory
Second type of random events
- Factory events accumulate over time. If you do not complete them, the free slots will run out and new events will stop appearing
- Each production building in the location provides one slot for this type of event
- Some events are weeds and do not provide any reward
- Some events allow you to exchange Memory for one of the resources produced at the factory
- Rare events provide Memory and a small amount of DDT
- Premium owners have access to a special event with an increased DDT reward
For now, random events are available only in some locations. We are counting on your feedback to refine the system and expand it to the remaining locations. You can share your impressions in any of our chats. Remember: PainNET is always watching you.
